Boyd’s Jig and Reel opened this week in the Old City (although I think the official grand opening is in late September). It’s a neat “musical” pub with instruments hanging on the wall that anyone is welcome to check out and play. There’s also sheet music in a little hanging wooden file that you can use if you don’t know what exactly you want to play. I’ll definitely be back for some Scotch and a jam session.
There are also lots of tabletop pub games everywhere, including Shoot the Moon and Skittles, which just adds to the fun of hanging out in groups. I was decent at Shoot the Moon, but I realized quickly that I’m a terrible Skittles player. I couldn’t even the spin the top out of the first chamber!
