By the way, I realized that I have been storing freshly cut basil all wrong. Thanks to Betsy, one of the virtual farmhands this year, who's taught me the correct way to keep basil fresh for the week. I used to think washing and storing in the fridge was how to do it, but then I noticed the leaves would turn black. I was so wrong. Check out Betsy's blog for great tips on basil storage and more.
