It's Labor Day Weekend, and I'm especially grateful for our local farmers who work every day (never a day off!) to make sure we have access to naturally grown, fresh produce. Thanks, Colvin Family!
In the box this week:
- Arugula (more pesto, perhaps?)
- Green chile peppers
- Purple bell peppers
- Pattypan squash
- Globe squash (a teeny one)
- Yellow squash
- A couple of butternut squash
- Two acorn squash (can't wait to stuff these!)
- Sweet potato greens
The sweet potato greens are new to me, so I asked Noah from the Colvin Family how eats them, and he said a simple sauté is perfect for them. He also said that they're more nutritious than kale and a little bit sweeter. Can't wait to cook them up this week!
