Autumn is here, and I'm getting excited about seeing more winter squash in my CSA. I love making hearty soups with butternut squash and stuffing acorn squash with savory sausage or sweet fruits. 

This past week, the Colvin Family Farm loaded up the share with a wonderful variety of veggies: 

  • Green beans and basil (more green bean and basil salad!)
  • Purple kohlrabi (perhaps some chips for snacktime?) 
  • One large green chile pepper
  • Jalapenos
  • Two pattypan squash
  • Five butternut squash
  • Yellow squash and zucchini
  • Bell peppers
