Wow, it is hard to believe that we're already into week 10 of the CSA season from Colvin Family Farm. I still don't know what those greens were that I got last week, but here's all the good stuff in this week's share:
- Squash (yellow and pattypan)
- Jalapeno peppers
- Bell peppers
The tomatoes this year have been so good and juicy. My absolute favorite thing to do with them is to cut them into thick slices, drizzle olive oil and a little balsamic vinegar on top, season the slices with sea salt and cracked pepper, and roast them with a few cloves of garlic in the baking sheet. Roasted tomatoes are the BEST and the flavor can't be beat!
