2013 CSA: Weeks 18 and 19

Two weeks' worth of CSA pickups in one blog post? Yep, that means I've been on the road and/or trapped in an office. But thankfully I've had help with the pickups while I've been away. The big challenge, though, was trying to figure out how I could eat everything during the short amount of time that I've been at home. So for the past two weeks, I've kept it simple with easy-to-make mashed sweet potatoes, grilled peppers, roasted turnips, and sautéed carrots. 

I plan on being around for at least a few days before heading away again, so I'll have a recipe or two to share with this week's (week 20) CSA pickup.


Week 18: 

  • Sugar snap peas
  • Okra
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Bell peppers
  • Basil
  • Carrots
  • Chile and jalapeno peppers
  • Two heads of lettuce (not pictured, but eaten) 

Week 19: 

  • Green peppers
  • Chile peppers and jalapenos
  • Mustard greens
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Turnips
  • Sugar snap peas
